What do you want to be?
A sleep-inducing question repeated by the masses
We should instead be asking, who do you want to be?
A prime example of your career choice not defining competence, is former president joe Biden
Despite once being the most powerful man in the world, he could barely utter a coherent sentence
Yet by position alone, you’d assume outstanding cerebral capacity
The position you hold does not position you
A 17-year-old McDonalds employee could deliver exponential results, remembering each order, arriving early, leaving late and
processing those golden nuggets Mcmarvelously!
Their path, though initially limited allows for development of working memory, resilience, discipline, endurance and
understanding of human nature
Their performance may, just may… even outweigh genius Joe
Who’s currently in line
Though I’m not too sure he knows where he is…
In all manners of life then, we must ask, who will I be?
Not, what will I be?
For who you are precedes, transcends and remains
Focus on who you will be and you will always know what to do
Don’t end up a one hit wonder
